Despite its continuing growth or hype in the organic market, according to new research, most women prefer the natural look.
Usage study and The National and Premium Foundation Agile Attitudes have found that only 15% of American women bought a foundation by looking at its natural brand, and only 14% of women bought it by looking at it containing organic ingredients. According to Gutcheck, the market research company behind the study, women usually buy foundation by observing its looks and how it feels on the skin.
52% of women said that they bought foundation because it feels lightweight and is easy to apply to the skin, while 50% of women said that it was the right colour for their skin, 434% of women said that it made their skin look flawless and 40% of women said that it was full coverage for their purchase.
According to marketing content manager Cassandra McNeill, the research was done on women aged 18 to 55 who wear foundation at least four times a week to determine any benefits or key differentiators.
She said that most women would not like to try a new foundation just because it is the name of a natural brand. Even those who use a foundation from a natural brand would not buy it because it is a natural brand.
Even many people who prefer natural foundation buy it based on its looks and feel, not by seeing that it is made from natural ingredients or is from a natural brand.
People who prefer premium foundations think they are as natural as they look, but they do not contain the high-quality ingredients of a premium foundation.
