When it comes to hair, we are what we eat. That’s why a balanced diet is necessary for healthy hair. Always eat food high in vitamin C, iron, vitamin D, and many more. Other things that are good for your hair and must be included in your diet are fish, eggs, beans, meat, berries, spinach, avocados, etc. Also, include vitamins C and E in your diet, which will help improve collagen production, resulting in healthier and stronger hair strands.

Avoid Heat Styling

Minimize the use of styling devices such as straighteners and curlers on hair. As you might not know, heat damages your hair’s cuticle. It’s not possible to always use heat protection, right? So, when it’s a day when you must use heat styling devices, make sure to use a heat protectant on your hair and keep the temperature very low.

Minimize Stress

Stress is a major cause of hair loss. When the body and mind are diverted, energy is also diverted from producing voluminous, shiny hair.

Try a homemade hair mask.

It would help if you took care of your hair yourself. So, to keep your strands hydrated and smooth, always use a moisturizing homemade hair mask or deep condition at least once a week or 2-3 times a month. Using such a healthy homemade hair mask will not only keep your hair healthy but also make it shiny, strong, and voluminous. To learn more about homemade hair masks, please check out our guide here.

Protect from the sun or when swimming.

Always apply conditioner, a leave-in mask, or a cap when having fun in the sun or swimming pool. It’s also a better idea to wear a hat, as it helps to minimize your hair’s exposure to chlorine. So, protecting your hair from sun and water means making your hair stronger as there will be less chances of breakage and damage.

Squeeze out the wet hair water with a towel; don’t rub

Always squeeze out the excess water of wet hair rather than rubbing it. As we have mentioned above, damp hair is fragile and prone to breakage when rubbed with a towel. By gently squeezing the excess water of the hair, you will remove the moisture without causing unnecessary stress on the hair. Also, it helps to maintain your natural pattern of wavy or curly hair, reducing the frizziness and preventing split ends. However, following these simple steps in your daily life can make a massive difference in contributing to healthier and stronger hair.

Trim your hair regularly.

You need to regularly trim your hair so it thrives and doesn’t break off at the ends.
